Affiliation

Affiliation with Zion Christian University has many benefits. In addition to becoming a part of the Global Network of schools, one of the greatest benefits is to receive the anointed teaching of Zion. ZCU offers a unique curriculum which provides not only the course materials but also the textbooks which have been written by the faculty of the university. 

In addition to these benefits, affiliation provides the following:

  • Spiritual direction and counsel
  • ZCU curriculum and textbooks
  • Forms and processes necessary to operate as an affiliate school
  • Certificates, diplomas, and degrees issued by ZCU

Affiliation with Zion Christian University is available to Bible Schools that meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Conform to the spiritual and academic standards of ZCU
  • Register as a diploma-granting institution
  • Complete the Affiliation Application and submit all required materials
  • Available for an interview with a representative of the Global Network

Affiliation with Zion Christian University is a spiritual affiliation, not a legal one. ZCU does not confer United States federal tax-exempt status (501.c.3) or corporate status upon its affiliated schools. Affiliated schools are required to form their own incorporation. Furthermore, ZCU does not require affiliate schools to pay a percentage of their annual income to the organization, but a small annual renewal fee to cover administrative costs.


Affiliation Process

STEP 1:

  • Prospect school must send a formal request for affiliation by means of a written letter.
  • Upon receipt of this letter an affiliation packet will be sent to prospect school.
  • Prospect school must complete the affiliation materials and submit to ZCU along with requested documentation.
  • All items will be reviewed and if approved, prospect school will be a "candidate" for affiliation.

STEP 2:

  • Contact will be made to schedule an appointment with a ZCU representative to interview the candidate school.
  • Upon review of the interview and all information provided by the school, a decision will made regarding the candidate school's affiliate status.
  • If approved for affiliation the school will be informed and will receive a welcome packet. If the candidate school is not approved for affiliation they will be informed. 

STEP 3:

Before affiliation status is fully granted, the candidate school must complete the following:

  • Read the Operations Manual in its entirety
  • Submit Faculty Applications for each  resident faculty member
  • Sign and submit the Affiliation Agreement

Upon receipt of these items, the school will be granted "affiliate" status and a Certificate of Affiliation will be sent. A representative of ZCU will assist with the affiliate school to implement the ZCU program and procedures.
